About the PSA
The UWA Postgraduate Students' Association (the PSA) is the representative body for postgraduate students at UWA. Every postgraduate is automatically a member of the PSA upon enrolment. Our core functions are representation, advocacy, planning activities and providing services to postgraduate students. The PSA is also a department of the UWA Guild and postgraduates can access Guild advocates if they find themselves in need of advice or representation.
The PSA is run by a committee of elected representatives who meet monthly. PSA committee members represent postgraduates on UWA Committees from the Senate down to the faculty level. The current PSA Committee was elected at the AGM on the 26th of October, 2012 and will be representing you until December 2013. Get to know them here!
In addition, the PSA organises a number of informative and social events throughout the year in order to keep postgraduates up-to-date and to foster a sense of community amongst the postgraduate cohort.
The PSA Lounge is located on the first floor of the south wing of the Guild Building, in room 1.05. The Lounge is available free of charge for postgrads to use for seminars and discussion groups. The Guild Student Centre organises bookings and holds the key. The Lounge is also a quiet and comfortable drop-in space for postgrads to use outside of any bookings.
